Moto GP ace Loris Capirossi drove the FIA WTCC SEAT León at the Bologna Motor Show. The Italian rider, for the first time at the wheel of an FIA WTCC car, joined young Italian Giovanni Calabrese in the SEAT Sport team for taking part in the Bomb Boogie Eurotouring race.

In front of a huge crowd that gathered on the granstands of the Lonsdale Arena, experienced FIA WTCC independent driver Adriano De Micheli – at the wheel of an Antonelli Sport Alfa Romeo 156 – eliminated Capirossi in the quarter-finals.

In the semi-finals De Micheli prevailed on team-mate Marco Antonelli and eventually beat Stefano Valli’s Zerocinque Motorsport BMW 320i in the final.

The Bologna Motor Show will go on until Sunday December 11, with the FIA WTCC cars exhibited in the Motorsport Zone, inside Hall 33, together with the Formula 1 and World Rally Championship winning cars, Renault R25 and Citroën Xsara.
